Preferences Dialog

Use the Preferences dialog to set your preferences for different application behaviors. To display the Preferences dialog, from the Main Menu, select File -> Preferences. The Preferences dialog is shown in the figure below:

The following fields are on the Preferences dialog:

Tasks List Group

Include sub-folders when inserting folders in the Tasks List Check box

When selected, whenever you insert a folder in the Tasks List (either by drag and drop or by using the Insert command in the Files list panel),  M²Convert for ZEN will traverse the folder’s subfolders to find and insert any multimedia files that are discovered. This check box is selected by default.

Auto-respond to DVD events Check box

When selected, M²Convert for ZENwill automatically detect inserted video DVD discs and offer to convert them.

Resize video with ultra high quality Check box

When selected, M²Convert for ZEN will resize videos (if necessary, when converted) using a high quality resize, which will give better results with some videos, but it is certainly slower.

Disable screen saver while converting Check box

When selected, M²Convert for ZEN will disable Windows screen savers if a conversion is running. Some conversions may fail if a screen saver starts during conversion. (recommended)

Overwriting Group

Use the Overwriting options to select what to do when saving a file and a file with the same name currently exists. The available options are:

• Ask for overwrite: application will show a dialog asking for proper action to take when overwriting situation occurs.

• Overwrite: Replace the existing file.

• Rename: Rename the target filename.

Notifications Group

Use the Notifications options to select what kind of notifications to send.

Play a sound when conversion is completed check box

When selected, a brief sound notification will be played once the conversion is finished.

Log File Group

Use the Log Report group to have the results from the conversion process written to a text file.

Save Log Report Check box

Select the Save Log Report check box to have the results from the conversion process written to a text file. Select the Browse button to open a Windows Save dialog to select a log filename and location.

Note that if the file selected for the log report file already contains data,  M²Convert for ZEN will append the log report to the file.

View Button

To view the report, select the View button.

Warnings Group

M²Convert for ZENdisplays warning messages.

Warning messages have a check box that, when selected, turns off the future display of that particular message. To set all messages to display again, select the Reset button.

OK Button

Select the OK button to close the dialog and apply changes.

Cancel Button

Select the Cancel button to close the dialog and discard changes.

Help Button

Select the Help button to open a popup help topic for this dialog.
