Use the Titles/Chapters page to configure a DVD's titles and chapters:
Titles List
Lists the available DVD titles. Use this list to add new titles to the DVD, to remove any titles that are not required, and to set the title names to be used when creating a DVD menu.
Chapters List
Lists the available DVD chapters for the currently selected title; with columns for the chapter number, the chapter filename, and the portion. Use this list to add new chapters to the DVD title, remove chapters, to specify the portion of a file to be a chapter, to preview a chapter, to view chapter file information, and to change the order of the chapters. You can also divide a chapter into different portions by opening the Set Portion Dialog. To display the dialog, right-click the mouse in the Chapters list.
DVD Estimated Size Indicator
The indicator shows tick marks for sizes from 0 to 5 GB or 9 GB, depending on the capacity selected in the DVD Capacity drop-down list box.
If you are planning to burn the created DVD image onto a DVD disk, watch this indicator and be sure not to exceed the DVD disk size.
This indicator displays a rough estimation of the resulting DVD image size. Use it to adjust settings before starting the DVD task. The indicator displays the amount of space occupied and the amount of free space that would be left if the Titles/ Chapters are created on a DVD with the current settings.
The dotted red line stands for the DVD disk size limit. A green bar shows how much space is occupied by the DVD image. When the DVD size exceeds the DVD limit, the bar will turn red.
Use the Estimation criteria options list to define how the indicator should calculate the estimated size, this option is only available if the video codec is set to have variable bit-rate.
DVD tasks take some time to finish. If you repeat a DVD task the resulting image will have a large size that it may not fit on a DVD disk.
DVD Capacity Drop-down list box
Use the DVD Capacity drop-down list box to select the capacity. The following capacities are available:
(DVD-9) Dual Layers DVDs have an 8.54 GB capacity.
(DVD-5) Single Layer DVDs have a 4.7 GB capacity.
(DVD-1) [8 cm] Single Layer DVDs have a 1.4 GB capacity.
Adjust Video Bit-Rate to fit DVD Size Button
Whenever the DVD image size exceeds the selected capacity, this button will be available. Select the button to have M2Convert Pro automatically adjust the video bit-rate in order to make the DVD image fit on the DVD disk. Note however, that this operation may decrease the video quality.
