DVD Settings - Codecs Page
Use the Codecs page to configure codecs options for the selected DVD task. A codec A COmpressor combined with a DECompressor, or encoder and a decoder, which allows you to both compress and decompress that same data.COmpressor Also known as an encoder, this is a module or algorithm to compress data. DVD Codecs Group
Use the Codecs page to configure codecs options for the selected DVD task.
Video Codec Drop-down list box
Use the Video Codec drop-down list box to select the video codec to encode the media file being converted. MēConvert Pro comes with some LEAD proprietary codecs, including LEAD MPEG2. For a summary, refer to Summary of Codecs.
(Video Codec) Properties Button
Select the Properties button to open the Properties dialog for the selected video codec. Customize the bit-rate values and quality factors in order to get the best quality within the available DVD disk size.
Audio Codec Drop-down list box
Use the Audio Codec drop-down list box to select the audio codec to encode the media file being converted. MēConvert Pro comes with some proprietary codecs. For a summary, refer to Summary of Codecs.
(Audio Codec) Properties Button
Select the Properties button to open the Properties dialog for the selected audio codec. Customize the bit-rate values in order to get the best quality within the available DVD disk size.
Do Not Recompress MPEG-2 Files Check box
Select the Do Not Recompress MPEG-2Files Check box if you do not want to recompress MPEG-2 files. This will save time because the file will not be recompressed.
