File Settings - Information Page

This page is displayed while a task is in process and after the task is completed. It shows useful information about the running task. Once you change any settings for the processed file the information page disappears.  The following figure shows the Information Page:

The following fields are on this page:

Source File

Source File Static text

The name of the source file, including its full path.

(Source File) Play Button

Select the Play button to open the Multimedia Player Dialog to play the source file.

Target File

Target File Static text

The name of the target file (or the name of the folder, if the task is a DVD image A set of files that contain all of the video and audio content for a DVD, organized with a table of contents (optional). See also: Title The name for a group of related video files (called "Chapters") on your DVD. For example, for a DVD called "My Summer Vacation," you might have the titles "Water Skiing," "New Friends," and "Hiking." For each of those titles, you might have one or more different video files., Chapter The name for each individual video file on a DVD. For example, under the title "Water Skiing", you might have the chapters "My first try," "My first wreck," and "My first jump.", ISO Image An ISO image (.iso) is a disk image of a file system. It includes data files that are contained in the ISO image along with filesystem metadata. ISO images are an alternative to physical media for distribution of a "DVD" over the Internet. Most operating systems allow ISO images images to be "played" as if they were physical discs. (Target File) Play Button

Select the Play button to open the Multimedia Player Dialog to play the target file.

Target Format The format to be used for the converted file. This includes the file format, any special settings used by that format, and which audio and/or video codec is to be used for the conversion, and any special settings used by the codecs.

Target Format Static text

The file format to which the file is being converted.

(Target Format) Properties Button

This button is visible during the conversion process. Select this button to open the Properties dialog of the target format. Any changes made will not be saved.

Target Video Codec A COmpressor combined with a DECompressor, or encoder and a decoder, which allows you to both compress and decompress that same data.COmpressor Also known as an encoder, this is a module or algorithm to compress data. Target Video Codec Static text

The video codec used for the conversion.

(Target Video Codec) Properties Button

This button is visible during the conversion process. Select this button to open the Properties dialog for the selected video codec in order to view the codec’s settings. Any changes made will not be saved.

Target Audio Codec

The audio codec used for the conversion.

This button is visible during the conversion process. Select this button to open the Properties dialog for the selected audio codec in order to view the codec’s settings. Any changes made will not be saved.

Statistics Group

The Statistics group reports statistics about the task. The following fields are displayed:

Status Static text

Reports task execution status; if task is "idle" (never converted) this will be blank. When task is completed, this will show completion status (failed or succeeded).

Progress Static text

Reports task execution progress; this will be blank if the task is not running. If the task is running, this will show the percentage of completion.

Elapsed Static text

Shows time elapsed for currently executing task to be completed. This only shows the actual conversion time not including task paused time.

Remaining Static text

Shows time estimation for the currently executing task to be completed. If the task is paused, this estimation will not be updated until resumed again.

Size Static text

Reports the size of writing target file on disk.

Bit-Rate Static text

Reports the average bit-rate of the target file.

Completion Status Message

Brief bold message with icon to reflect the completion status, it shows whether the task was completed successfully or with errors along with icons.

Preview Window

Displays a preview of the video currently being converted so you can track the conversion progress.

Enable Preview Check box

When preview is available, select this check box to enable previewing and clear it to disable preview.
