Converting a DVD to 3GP file
To create a 3GP file from DVD, or to convert a DVD to 3GP file, follow the steps below

The following instructions cover how to convert a 3GP file from a DVD using M²Convert Professional. If you do not have M²Convert professional, you can download a trial version here or purchase the product here.

If you would like to convert a 3GP file from DVD using a less expensive application with fewer features, you may want to consider M²Convert for Smartphones.


Place the DVD you wish to convert in the DVD drive.

Click the "Backup DVD" button from the Actions List tab as displayed here.

When the "Select DVD Disc(s) wizard" appears, select the Title (s)/ Chapter(s) you want to back up and click OK. The video files will be inserted into the Tasks List. select chapters

Set the Target Format, the video/ audio encoders and the rest of settings from the File Settings tab. select 3gp

Apply Effects to the resulting DVD Titles/chapters, if you wish. video effects

Click Start Converting.

Note: In order to back up DVD, your system needs to have a software or hardware DVD decoder installed.

If you do not have a compatible
DVD decoder installed, DVD-backup/playback operations will fail.

By default, Windows does not include a DVD decoder.
