How long does it take to convert a DVD?
How long it takes to convert a DVD depends on many factors:
Can I order M²Convert to be shipped to me on a CD?
No. This product is available by download only. |
Why can't I convert a VOB file from a DVD properly?
Although VOB files are encoded very much like standard MPEG-2 files, they do not contain the entire information needed for decoding it. That's why it's recommended that you use the VIDEO_TS.IFO file when trying to convert a DVD. This file should contain the needed information.

How do I create a conversion profile?
Start the Profile Maker and set the desired format and what video and audio codecs to be used. Also set other video options like cropping, de-interlacing, and resizing. You can also use Microsoft Windows Media Profile Editor to create a profile. However you need to be sure that the profile created is handled properly by M²Convert.
How do I convert a batch of multimedia files?
Create a profile for conversion, then at the command prompt enter the M2CC command, naming the source file(s), the profile and any optional parameters. |
How do I change the video size (resolution) of the converted video files?
When creating a profile, open the Video Options, then check the Resize check box and select the resize method. Some target formats allow changing the video size from the Target Format options like iPod, PSP, Smartphones, and ZEN to cope with the multimedia device they intend. Note that if you select for the Video codec you will not be able to resize the video.

When attempting to convert a video I get the message "DVD does not contain audio or video", what should I do?
M²Convert requires DVD viewing software on your machine in order to acquire and convert the video. If you do not have DVD playing software installed, please take a look at the software that came with either your computer or your DVD player to see if this software was included (most likely it was) and install it. If you are unsure if you have DVD software installed, you can conduct a test in Windows Media Player to see if the problem is with M²Convert or with your operating system by opening Windows Media Player and attempt to open the DVD player by clicking "File" "Open" and navigating to the "Video_TS" folder on the DVD and open the file titled "VIDEO_TS.IFO". If your video plays correctly in Windows Media Player, then please inform support here for further steps.

Why do my converted files display "www.M2SolutionsInc.com" in the middle of the video?
This means you don’t have a purchased copy and you are running an evaluation. To generate files without this message, purchase M²Convert. You need a valid license key to unlock the API. This is the same key used to unlock the product. The trial version will permanently insert a watermark on the converted videos.
How do I deploy my M²Convert API applications on another computer?
If you create an application using M²Convert API and need that application to run on other machine, just install the product on the target machine and make sure to use a valid license key to unlock the API.
